Description

A fun, game-style workshop designed to help migrant students explore and “unlock” essential study techniques as if they were collecting tools for an academic adventure. Students will complete small challenges in time management, note-taking, and memory skills, earning “achievement badges” as they go. The goal is to
turn study habits into real-world superpowers — and to discover how the library is a vital part of their learning journey.

Objectives

• Introduce effective study habits in an engaging, gamified format.
• Help participants develop confidence in organising their time and study materials.
• Encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and independent learning.
• Familiarise students with library tools that support their success.

Prerequisites for the audience

• Enrolled in school or training
• Basic understanding of the language of instruction, or willing to work with a peer or bilingual facilitator

• Study strategy cheat sheets (time management, active reading, note-taking)
• Sample texts for note-taking practice
