Description
A fun and inclusive tournament featuring traditional board games from around the world. This activity can be adapted as a single event or a recurring series with one game per week or multiple games played simultaneously at different tables.
Objectives
Through this activity, librarians will learn to:
• Foster social connections among participants, especially those from migrant backgrounds
• Encourage young migrants’ engagement with the library and its services
• Practice the host language in a playful and informal way (understanding and following game rules)

• Strategic thinking and sportsmanship
Prerequisites for the audience
• Basic fluency in the language spoken by the facilitator or translation where available.
Equipment
• Scoreboard or tournament brackets
• Small prizes (books, bookmarks, badges, etc.)
• Tables and chairs arranged by game type
• Large sheet or board for writing shared rules
